Discover Hampton Beach, NH

Going to the Boston area to see my best friend was the first trip that I took since the pandemic started. It took me about a year and a half to feel comfortable flying again. But, I hadn’t seen my best friend for so long and I just couldn’t stand it anymore, so away I went to the Boston area.

I’ve been to Boston several times, so it is always a treat to go do something fun with the bestie. For this trip, we decided to go to Hampton Beach, NH. It is only about an hour away from where she lives in MA. We went in early September, so it was slightly chilly, but the day warmed up to a comfortable temperature. It’s not a trip with the bestie unless you check out the local food fare.

First Stop: Brown’s Lobster Pound

Brown’s Lobster Pound is located in Seabrook, NH. This local spot serves delicious seafood. The establishment is everything I expect a local seafood place would be in New England

It is quaint, unpretentious, casual, and really yummy. You basically order at the window, pick it up, and grab a table. They have a more picnic style seating inside, and they also have very nice outdoor seating towards the back.

We ordered the Seafood Plate. I do think that the best way to order it is fried. It is lightly breaded clams, scallops, haddock, and shrimp. It was nothing short of divine.

You really can’t visit New England without ordering New England Clam Chowder. It was rich, but not so thick. It was the perfect blend of richness and ample amounts of clams. Additionally, I got the Lobster Roll. It was mouth wateringly good! All you could really taste was delicious lobster with a light coating of sauce.

In my opinion, a definite two thumbs up and must try! I will definitely go back! Below is the location of Brown’s Lobster Pound.

Next Stop: Hampton Beach

It is such a charming village on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Hampton, NH. Ocean Blvd is the main drag where hotels, bars, and restaurants line the streets. It was a vibrant place to visit with lots of people hanging out at the beach. My bestie and I just thoroughly enjoyed the walk.

The architecture has a very New England cottage feel, which makes the experience so much more memorable.

It also just so happened that there was a seafood festival going on that same day. Totally unbeknownst to us. It was such a fun treat. There was live music going on and a whole lot of yummy seafood booths.

We also just weaved in and out of shops as well. It was just a great way to spend a few hours hanging out, walking around, eating, shopping. It was very relaxing as well.

Definitely a great, low key, chill place to visit. Simly perfect

Below is my YouTube Video about that visit and my visit to Lexington, MA.
