Everlane Bodysuits: A Review

I love bodysuits. I actually needed some v-neck and turtleneck ones and I decided to make my first foray into the world of Everlane. I am really trying not to buy anything new, but when I do buy, I really try to do it with only sustainable companies. Hence, I looked to Everlane, since they had a wide selection of body suits.

Here are some of the positives from my first Everlane order

They really try to incorporate sustainability in everything that they do, including the packaging. For instance, the polybag, which is the bag that the clothes are individually packaged, is made of recycled plastic.

For those of you that don’t know Everlane’s practices, they pride themselves in ethical sourcing, ethical standards for their factories, and transparency. At their website, they feature the factories that they use, the measures they use to ensure they source the best materials, and they also make available the true cost of the products that they sell. It simply inspires confidence that an individual that buys from them is supporting something that has such a positive impact. You feel like you’re making a good choice.

The body suits are a great fit for me. The material feels very sturdy. It definitely feels like it will last. It also looks very well constructed. I am normally a size 2-4 and I fit perfectly in a small. I like how well it moves and how much it hugs you in just the right places.

Some pseudo-negatives about the product. Notice I say “pseudo” because it’s not really a negative per se.

I wanted to focus a little on the material. It is 98% cotton and 2% elastane. I am obsessed with cotton which is why I was really excited to try these bodysuits. I don’t know if it was the elastane that wasn’t quite agreeing with my skin, but it just wasn’t as comfortable as I hoped. Don’t get me wrong, it was still very comfortable. My skin is just very sensitive that I think if something is not 100% cotton, my skin just doesn’t react very well to it. I do still think that it is worth a try so don’t let the 2% elastase stop you if you’re a cotton person like me. Plus the fit is just incredible. So although I will probably return my order, which makes me so sad, I will definitely still consider buying from them in the future.

Below is their website if you would like to check them out. Please do take a look, because I really do think they’re a good company to support
