Summer Faves: Banana Republic Conscious Luxury

The GAP family brands which include Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic, and Athleta are quickly becoming some of my favorite places to shop for sustainably made clothing. I wanted to talk about Banana Republic Conscious Luxury, specifically. Their focus on sustainability has grown over the past few years. The brand’s sustainability efforts has focused on the environment. We know that sustainability encompasses three major areas: environment, equitable treatment of people, and protection of animals. What is featured on their website is the company’s focus on the environment. For instance, the use of organic cotton, recycled materials, proper farming and conservation of water just to name a few. You can view their sustainability focus by clicking on this link:

I wanted to feature some of the summer favorites that I’ve tried. Style can be sustainable and you don’t have to sacrifice the environment to have great style

Conscious Luxury Summer Faves

This Conscious Luxury line swing dress is made from Organic Cotton. The weight is very light. As far as white dresses go, sometimes I worry about whether or not it see through. This definitely provides good coverage. The bag is secondhand, the shoes I’ve had for a very long time.

This Conscious Luxury dress is made from recycled materials. The shirt dress is such a great staple to have and will last you forever. Another focus of the company is the longevity of garments. A lot of the styles are classic so that they can be worn for a long time. This is a good way to ensure that they stay out of landfills.

This Conscious Luxury romper is also made from recycled materials. Another very classic silhouette, which is the safari style romper. This can be dressed up and down very easily and can be worn in the spring, summer, and fall.

I hope that you would consider shopping sustainably. I live to feature companies that are making strides when it comes to sustainability practices.
